In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call medical emergency services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Barnard Family Health Centers, and they will contact us.
If you have an urgent medical need after our regular hours, please call Barnard Family Health Centers at (281) 469-7704. A doctor is on-call 24 hours a day. Your call will be returned promptly.
At Barnard Family Health Centers, we accept most major insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (281) 469-7704 to find out if we accept your insurance plan.
If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

REMINDER: PROPER IDENTIFICATION AND CURRENT INSURANCE CARDS ARE REQUIRED AT EVERY APPOINTMENT
If one of our doctors suggests a specialist evaluation or diagnostic testing that requires a referral, we will make every effort to provide this for you as soon as possible. Some referrals require insurance preauthorization and cannot be processed immediately. Insurance guidelines prohibit us from backdating referrals. We require three business days for the processing of routine referrals.
Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Barnard Family Health Centers are routinely issued during our regular office hours (see above). You can make your request by calling our office at (281) 469-7704.
Please note: All prescriptions marked "no refill" will NOT be refilled without a follow-up office visit. Please schedule a follow-up appointment before you run out of medication, as we will not refill routine medications without appropriate follow-up care.
Narcotics, pain medications, and sleeping aids cannot be refilled over the phone.
No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctors do not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
